Flight mileage refers to mileage earned through taking applicable China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines self-operated flights.
Actual mileage refers to the distance between departure and destination of a flight. (IATA regulated Ticketed-Point-Mileage, known as TPM)
On nonstop and multiple-leg flights, mileage credited will be calculated based upon the distance from origin to destination.
On connecting flights that require a change of plane and flight number, mileage credited will be calculated based upon the distance from origin to destination for each segment of the trip. For example, member departing from AAA via BBB to CCC on M class by changing flight number, he can earn AAA/BBB+BBB/CCC=6000+500 miles.
