Tickets refund
For tickets purchased through the travel agency, please contact the travel agency for refund.
Online refund is for tickets which purchase from China Airlines website/APP, all branch offices ticketing counter.
If passengers holding tickets but did not cancel reservations 3 hours before the flight took off, and eventually fail to board, please contact our branch offices for refund request.
If there is any refund value after the value of used portions and refund fee/No Show fee/Booking Service Charge deducted, we'll process your refund back to the original credit card within 7 working days. The actual date of receipt of the refund is subject to card-issuing banks' handling procedures.
For tickets purchased via China Airlines website and to/from USA or from Korea , a full refund without service charge will be given if the refund request is submitted within 24 hours after ticket purchase and the reservation was made one week or more prior to a flight's scheduled departure.
To refund the unused sector after the ticket is partially flown or reissued, the ticket fare will be recalculated according to the sector used. If no ticket value is left, the unused tax can be refunded while the refund service charge and no show fee will be waived. The processing time will vary depending on the case, please refer to the notice of each branch office.
Unused Miles and Cash tickets will be refunded the fare , taxes, and the mileage still valid on the refund date will be refunded. For partially used tickets, the fare and taxes for the remaining segments will be refunded , no mileage deducted can be refunded.

The prepaid additional baggage is refundable without any charges.
Seat Selection Fee is not refundable, except for "involuntary reasons" or "duplicated payment of itinerary & seat change". Involuntary reasons include:
Passenger cancels or changes his/her reservation due to his/her China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines flight encounters aircraft type change, delay (more than 3 hours) or flight cancellation.
Seat selection has to be changed because subject passenger does not meet our emergency exit seat requirements.
Miss connection to flights operated by China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines due to delay from a previous China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines flight.
Duplicated payment of itinerary and/or seat change is refundable. However, it’s not refundable if the new seat is free of charge.
To apply for refund on "duplicated payment of itinerary & seat change" reason, both Electronic Miscellaneous Document must be issued by same flight ticket number. If your chargeable seat documents were issued by different flight ticket number, please contact our customer service center or local branch office counters for further handling.
Seat Selection Fee is refundable once the flight ticket has been refunded.
