China Airlines Named APEX Five Star Global Airline For Seventh Straight Year

China Airlines has been named the "2023 APEX Five Star Global Airline" by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) for the seventh straight year. Travelers were invited by the popular travel website TripIt to rate nearly 600 airlines and over a million flights based on five categories - seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment, and Wi-Fi. China Airlines won the approval of international travelers standing head and shoulders above the rest.


More Cabin Upgrades: Spacious Seats, Super-Large Screens, Diverse Entertainment

China Airlines continued to refine its in-flight services in preparation for the post-pandemic passenger market. The all-new A321neo fleet introduced in 2021 incorporates epidemic prevention and zero contact features into its cabin design. Fully-flat Premium Business Class seats, developed for widebody passenger aircraft, were also introduced on a narrowbody passenger aircraft for the first time. The seats are more spacious and are equipped with adjustable extra-height partitions for privacy and epidemic prevention. The China Airlines A321neo is equipped with the industry’s latest in-flight entertainment system, providing every passenger with personalized multimedia content. Economy Class features 13.3" 4K high-definition screens that are the largest in Taiwan. The 737-800 passenger aircraft has also been upgraded with the Fantasy Sky wireless in-flight entertainment system. Travelers can now enjoy a variety of media streaming services through their personal devices as they fly through the sky. More than a hundred films as well as 25 to 30 games are available for every cabin class in all fleets. The new "Dynasty Sky Reading" in-flight e-library provides unlimited downloads of up to a hundred newspapers and magazines in advance to travelers in all cabin classes as well. The A321neo, 777 and A350 fleets all offer high-speed Wi-Fi wireless Internet service to stay connected for important messages.


Fresh Menu on All Routes and New Le Ruban Desserts Boarding Japan Routes in November

In addition to hardware upgrades, China Airlines is welcoming travelers with new menus on all routes. The menu for Premium Business/ Business Class was refined, making use of local ingredients and supporting local farmers and fisherman. Taiwanese-styled stewed snacks were also introduced taking the quality of the mains up a notch. In Economy Class, Western-style dishes join the delectable aroma of classic pork rib and rice 30,000 feet up in the air. China Airlines is adding surprise desserts popular with Taiwanese travelers on Japan routes. For November and December only, Premium Business/Business Class on flights to Tokyo (Narita), Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka will be able to enjoy "Chestnut Mont Blanc" desserts created by Le Ruban Pâtisserie, widely considered to be the Chanel of the dessert world. The filling of lychee puree and vanilla Chantilly will enchant the senses with a rich aroma and flavor. China Airlines continues to refine its software and hardware services. The latest fuel-efficient aircraft combines with digital technology, providing passengers with products and services they can trust and making every journey as perfect and comfortable as possible.
